HOW THE PROCEDURE IS PERFORMED?
Shockwave therapy is performed on an outpatient basis. A special gel is applied to the affected area to start the procedure. The physician sets the necessary parameters on the device and places the handpiece on the affected area. The so-called trigger points that are different for each disease are taken into account. One session takes 7-10 minutes per area. 3-6 procedures are usually enough. They are carried out 1-2 times a week, depending on the disease and the degree of tissue injury.
